I think this sums up the reason why I ship Dair so hard.
when with Chuck or Louis, Blair is not happy - she is never happy. She gets caught in schemes and make-believe, with her fairy tale world, yes, but that is about it. She is always dragged back to an ugly reality sooner or later. Since her relationship with Chuck started, I cannot really remember one time when Blair was happy with herself.
except, of course, when she is with Dan.
with Dan, Blair is Blair. She is not plotting, she is not trying to be a Queen-Bee or a Princess.
She is just a highly intelligent girl with a peculiar taste for movies.
That is why I don’t think Chuck will ever be the perfect man for Blair.
Nor was Nate.
Nor will Louis be.
Because neither of them really ‘gets’ her like Dan does.
And they never will.
